Hi, I'm Piera
I'm Piera Savage, founder and principal lawyer at Savage Legal Professional Corporation. As an entertainment lawyer, I combine my passion for the arts with legal expertise to support creators like you.

My journey bridges two worlds—music and law—giving me a unique perspective on the challenges creative professionals face. Before founding Savage Legal, I was immersed in Toronto's vibrant entertainment scene as a publicist and project coordinator, managing campaigns for artists and events including Canadian Music Week. My entertainment experience even took me to Tokyo, where I worked as a vocalist with a Japanese jazz band called Ub-X.

This firsthand experience in the industry informs everything I do at Savage Legal. I understand the passion behind your work because I've been there. I know what it means to create something meaningful and want to protect it.

My Approach

At Savage Legal, I focus on providing legal representation to artists in the entertainment industry. My career path includes time at a legal center committed to fighting systemic discrimination and providing accessible legal services to Black communities. I'm particularly passionate about supporting racialized creators who face unique challenges in protecting their work and navigating industry contracts.

My practice is built on personal connection. While I leverage technology-enabled legal processes for efficiency, I prioritize understanding your unique creative vision and career goals. Whether you're an independent musician, visual artist, filmmaker, or content creator, I'm here to protect your creative interests and advance your professional success.

My Experience

My legal career has encompassed a diverse range of practice areas with a focus on contract law, negotiation, and dispute resolution. With nine years of practice, I have extensive experience in litigation matters, navigating complex regulatory frameworks, and preparing comprehensive legal submissions. Throughout my practice, I've developed a practical approach to analyzing complex situations, identifying key issues, and crafting effective solutions that serve my clients' interests.

My education includes a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Integrative Music from Concordia University.
